While online schooling has existed since the beginning of the century, it became commonplace after schools shuttered and shifted to remote learning due to COVID-19 outcomes.
As a result, most Americans experienced life working from home, while their children engaged in distance learning. This shift into the virtual world of living and working introduced people to a whole new world. And for many, the benefits and advantages of working to studying at home were incredible.
Research already suggests that remote working is correlated with higher employee productivity, greater employee satisfaction, and allows greater work-life balance as employees navigate through family demands. Poor sleep can also impact your overall productivity. The lack of sleep makes it more difficult to focus and compromises cognitive abilities.
When it comes to preparing meals, online teachers have the advantage of being steps away from their own pantry and refrigerator. This better ensures that meals don’t include fast food or other snack-related options.
Many teachers in brick-and-mortar buildings don’t even have time for a full lunch. So rather than skip a lunch, or eat poorly, online teachers can benefit from healthier, more nutritious options.
And yes, online teachers can eat during meetings or during tasks.
Less exposure to Germs
Apart from doctors and nurses, teachers must have one of the greatest immunities across all professions. Schools can definitely be full of germs throughout most of the year.

With limited exposure to students colleagues that may be battling colds or the flu, online teachers can minimize exposure to germs and stay healthy.

Perhaps the greatest benefit of online teaching could be the reality of avoiding a drive to work. For those in urban communities, this could shave off nearly 1-2 hours a day, just sitting in traffic. This decreases stress and anxiety, as well as provides extra time for online teachers to focus on the things that matter most to them.
